FOR LIMERICK SUICIDE WATCH
We have been gifted a number of Thermal Image Cameras. This much appreciated gift was given to us by Limerick man Dermot Guiren when he returned home from the UK for a short holiday at Christmas.
These cameras have the ability to pick up heat sources both in the water and around the river. The cameras will provide an invaluable assistance to us when on patrol.
The cameras are portable and will be used by our patrols at night.
Any heat source such as a hand or face will show bright red on the screen at a range in excess of 1Km even in the dark of night.
